Do you guys like the new layout?
I got really tired of the old one (had it for so long!) that I decided to change it.. even though it's a template from the blogger wesbite, at least it's a friggin' change, right!?!?!?

Anyway, yesterday katie and I went to yorkdale for some shopping! we were just gonna do some shopping for other ppl but just looked around for ourselves lol
and yes ppl, i returned my dress!!! lol
There are a lot of sales out there! I got these really beautiful pair of high boots from Aldo (can never go wrong!). It is truly sooo nice! I can't wait to wear them...! I have one problem though.. I don't have anything to match it with!!! Do you know what that means?... YES, SHOPPPINNNNGGG!!!!
Now, you might think I'm selfish for shopping for myself and not for other people. You are wrong, my friend... you are wrong.
Firstly, I don't quite celebrate xmas. I don't believe that Jesus Christ nor the Virgin Mary is my savour. Secondly, my family has more important things to do ie. catering business (which is the most busiest time for us) so we spend our days working and catering to you folk who believe in the all might lords. Thirdly, I do shop for other people - ie my close friends and family! This is what I got them:

• Mom&Dad - costumized Ralph Lauren towels that has their name stitched in them =)
• My older sister - a knife set for her place & a Ralph Lauren costumized towel that has her name stitched on it lol
• My younger sisters - I brought them shopping and a Ralph Lauren costumized that has their name stitched on it
• My younger brother - The new Super Mario game for the Wii (yes I got it! mostly for myself too! lol) and you guessed - the Ralph Lauren blah blah blah
• Joo - lol I actually got him the whole bathroom set of Ralph Lauren towels... lol so everything is gonna be decked out in JYL
• My (not-so) Secret Santa - lol I can't tell because she actually reads this! HA! i got you there! (You know who you are!)

So that's it. I'm done...

As I indicated in my earlier posts, I still have some money/gift certificates that people have given me for my birthday. On top of that, i returned my dress thus my new purchase on the boots.
Yesterday, I saw a lot of things I saw that I wanted...right now, I'm definately in my all grey mode. Some general things I want:

• black thick tights for winter
• tights for summer - or tights to wear with skirts etc like nylons
• long gray large button cardigan
• cardigans in general - any colour!
• dress pants - dark gray, light gray, striped & black
• dress shirts - striped, white and black
• lots and lots of fitted sweaters - dark gray and black
• high collar casual zip up sweater
• going-out high hell, high knee boots
• skinny jeans - solid black and dark denim colours
• really warm gloves!

Katie and I went into Danier (We saw the sale sign) and saw this beautiful leather jacket. I can't find the image and I don't want to print screen it and upload it.. so I'll just give you guys the link. It's absolutely beautiful

We are thinking of splitting the jacket aka she buys half and I buy the other half & splitting the time with it. We didn't get it but decided to sleep on it... I still want it though... arrrggghhhhh!!!

Blindside

Incredible movie and story!!!! 

Trust me on this one... this movie touches on many social issues:

• racism
  
• clash of social classes
  
• moral and ethical issues
  
• political (not a lot but still lol)
  
• learning disabilities

and on top of that, it is a true and touching story! I absolutely recommend you to watch it!!! 

2010 will be a year of...

ever lasting fun with my girlfriends!
This year, we had a tremendous amount of fun and good lovin'! and I am definately looking forward to spending more time with them!

school, school, school, eat, school, school, sleep, school, eat, school and shit.
This year, I'm not taking any semester breaks! I'll be continuing school until winter of 2011! I gotta work extra this year! So far, I'm getting all A's in all of my classes... except for 2!!

I'm lovin' the classes at goodlife right now. About a year ago, I dreaded going to the gym but now, I just can't wait! lol sometimes, I just wished my body recovered faster so I can weight train more! lol
Lil and I have discussed that we should start a pact to achieve beach-ready bods!! like killer, killer, athletic bods!!! (not just skinny) anyone wanna join us!?!??!
and I guess I'll try cutting down on those cigs too, huh?

Hmm at the current moment, there's really nothing else I want o add. I'll just leave it as is until I think of something else to improve in =)

Can't wait for...

1. I seriously cannot wait for this movie to come out. I saw the trailer last week when I went for my weekly movie night with the guys and absolutely fell in love with it.

Also, the director is Rob Marshall aka the director of one of my fav movies of all time, Chicago. Yeeee I really can't wait for it!!! Anyone wanna come watch it with me? If not, I'll drag Joo to come and make him suffer through a muscial!! hahaha

2. I also cannot wait to watch this movie. I love action movies so this one should be good! The guys and I will probably go watch it next week! yaaaaaah!

3. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. I love carnival/travelling show-type things like this. I think they really fascinate me.

Nonetheless, Heath Ledger is also in this so it has to be good.

4. Who could be more perfect to play the Mad Hatter than Johnny Depp??? I thought so, no one. Even though this pic really freaks me out, I'm willing to suck it up and watch the movie damnit! lol

So I think that's it. These are my top 4 movies I really want to watch so far. I can't wait to see them!!!!! =D

The thing about Christmas...

is that it's been soooo commercialized that I'm so sick of it. Frankly, I'm glad that my family doesn't celebrate Christmas...

But how do you tell your little brother that there's no Santa Claus? && that he won't get a present under our imaginary Christmas tree?

That's the thing about Christmas.

My little brother is smart and clever. For instance, he saw the super mario wii on tv. he turns to me and asks,

- Chi Linh, can you get that for me for my bird(th)day?

- Brae, you're birthday has already past.

- Chi Linh, doesn't Joo have a wii?

- Yep.

- Does he still play with it?

- I don't know, Brae, you might want to ask him.

- Maybe he doesn't play with it.

- Maybe

- Maybe he wants to give it away?

- maybe

- Maybe he wants to give it to me?!!?!?!?!?!?

lol yeah, calm down there brae.

See, my brother is clever but at the same time, I try to tell him today that there's no Santa Claus and he probably won't get a present from me nor anyone in the family because we don't celebrate xmas. He's been stuck on this mindset about getting presents for xmas that it upsets me because I can't get him a present. && who would want to give a 4 year old a wii??!?!?!? lol exactly!!! lol

anyhow, the clock just stroke 11pm and now I gotta get out of my warm house, drag myself out to the freezing cold and pick up joo. what a girlfriend I am!!! lol

After school but before xmas

I only have about a week left of school and i'm extremely excited!!! I have so much work to do that I can't even imagine how this week is gonna turn out... on top of that, there has been major drama between my class and this one particular professor. I won't bore you with stuff like that.

Unlike my cousin, I'm not the xmas type of person. My family never really celebrated xmas... it is more of a stressful day for us because of my mom's catering business... but yeah.. whatever.. i just want school to be over.

So here's what i have to do before xmas rolls around:

• secret santa with the girls: we have to meet up to actually pick our secret santa and all! I can't wait! I'm thinking of proposing a night of finger foods (I got a costco membership!!!! lol), martinis and games =D lol I wanna get cranium just for that night lol
• go secret santa shopping
• i don't xmas shop... BUT i love shopping!!! lol i wouldn't mind tagging along with someone when they xmas shop lol
• go shopping with joo. my bday this year was spectacular!!! I love you guys sooo much! this year for my bday, i bought myself a marciano dress which i will probably not wear ever again... so i have decided to return it (haven't yet). on top of that, joo, my sisters and the ladies have all given me a gift certificates to go shopping! I can't wait! The last time I went shopping was when I went to Florida... but I spent my $500 budget on my parents and siblings. I only spent about $100 on myself.. which wasn't much :(
• go skating - i love going skating. Joo and I usually go skating during the holidays at the harbourfront centre.
• go the gym everyday. Yesterday, I went to a new step class. It's major cardio but a lot of fun!!! it didn't feel like an hour because the tracks are longer and you're basically jumping around doing stuff. I can't wait to bring kay! She'll love it!

mmm i think that's it for now.. Gotta head out to meet cher and do our project. Seee yaaaasss!!!!!
